Dawn of the Black Hearts

what's that?
Black Metal once again. This cover of Mayhem's Dawn of the Black Hearts bootlg is one of the most drastic arts I've ever seen... but true.

Mayhem is considered one of the most controversial bands in modern musical history

well... it obligates.

By April 1991, Dead was found dead at the age of 22, having suffered a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head and several lacerations to the wrists, inflicted by a knife he had bought that day. Dead committed suicide in a house he was sharing in Kråkstad with the other members of the band, and left a note saying "Excuse all the blood"[2] Other members of the band claimed it was more extensive, also saying "The knife was too dull to finish the job so I had to use the shotgun." Euronymous was first to discover the body, and took a series of photographs of the corpse, one of which was later stolen and used as cover art for the bootleg album Dawn of the Black Hearts.

is there anything more to say?

Las Maquinas De La Muerte. A simple trick!

Kazik Na Żywo is a rock band from Poland, created in 1992 by famous polish musician and vocalist - Kazik Staszewski (Kult, Kazik, Buldog etc.). On 1999 band relased Las Maquinas de la Muerte (~ The Machines Of Death) album .

Album catches the eye because of the cover art. It's hard to describe what is on it... until you make a simple trick. An Author of the cover is also mysterious, we can read only that the cover was designed by Zajebisty Plastk (~Fuckin' Awesome Artist ;)

Everything becomes more transparent when you turn the cover.

Here comes the woman's bust. Are they really Las Maquinas de la Muerte?

THE HANDSOME BEASTS - BEASTIALITY cover

Long live rock and roll! ;)

Mob Rules. Mob say "Kill Ozzy".

Black Sabbath - Mob Rules, 1981

Black Sabbath is an English heavy metal band.Blah Blah Blah... (the story of Black Sabbath is obvious, everyone knows that band ;-) ) Due to internal conflicts and an evident lack of commitment due to drugs, Ozzy Osbourne (their first vocalist) was asked to officially leave the band in 1979. He was replaced by Ronnie James Dio.

On "Mob Rules" album (the second one with Dio) supposedly we can see inscription "Kill Ozzy".

It is still unchecked. The author of the cover art Greg Hilderbrandt denied that all... It seems to be just a invention of music fans...

added: That 'Y' should be placed somewhere else. my fault.

Worst Album Covers Ever

Here is the link to the Worst Album Covers Ever. Who knows... maybe someday I will get to the core of those covers.

Burzum - Aske. Burned church and the lighter.

On 6 June 1992 the wooden stave church of Fantoft (Norway) was burned to the ground by arson - Varg Vikernes. Vikernes is a founder of Burzum, the black metal band from Norway formed in 1988/1989. The name was taken from J.R.R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings. In the speach of Mordor "Burzum" means Darkness.

The building featured on the cover is the ruins of the Fantoft church. Vikernes says that was revenge on Christians for desecrating graves of pagans.

The best thing is that the 1000 first copies of album were distributed with Zippo lighters with Aske cover art painted on them. I tried to get a photo of that lighter but that was diffucult, but who knows, maybe someday i'll put it here. ;-)
